Vocal coaching is a bit like a road trip. It’s a lot like finding the right route, the right scenery, the right atmosphere or vibe for a song. Of course, good technique, like a more comfortable reliable car, and a great traveling companion can make the trip more productive and enjoyable, so technique has a big role to play in the journey. But that doesn’t mean that learning a song and working within your technical abilities can’t have a wonderful effect on an audience. Good coaching is a collaboration between the coach and the performer, where learning the right notes, developing the right riffs, ornamentation, style and interpretation can make your performance extrordinary. And always, good coaching is a great way to develop technical solutions to enable you to both sing what you want to sing, and gain the confidence to try new things that give wings to your imagination. Further, I offer instruction on good microphone technique, and how singing "on-mic" offers a wide range of vocal possibilities that differ from standard acoustic vocal production.
Whether you are preparing an audition, a role, writing a new song or just want to impress your friends at karaoke, a good coaching can enrich the sound and scope of what you bring to your performance experience.
